Hi! I'm Neil Khosla, a student who gravitates toward technical subjects, especially Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics. Intuitive in my approach, I am adept at planning and preparing for my academic endeavors. A self-learner at heart, I always seek clarity and deeper understanding by actively asking questions and diving deep into subjects.
I thrive in challenging environments, particularly when presented with interdisciplinary tasks that require me to tap into the creative side of my brain. I am particularly drawn to assignments that blend technology with art, such as filmmaking and game design. These experiential learning projects resonate with my inclination toward merging creativity with technical prowess.
Beyond the technical trio of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics, I am passionate about projects that involve technological innovations. Adventures Across Borders, Bonded by Love: My Family's Global Odyssey and Canine Chronicles
One of the most significant influences from my family has been our exposure to diverse cultures. We've traveled to over 20 countries, including Zanzibar, Egypt, Oman, Qatar, Cambodia, Switzerland, Italy, and Russia. Each journey provided an immersive experience, allowing me to understand and appreciate the myriad of traditions, values, and lifestyles across the world. These experiences have broadened my horizons and instilled in me a deep sense of respect and understanding for global perspectives.
Furthermore, I share an incredibly close bond with my grandfather, cousins, and aunt. Our shared love for dogs, in particular, has been a cornerstone of our relationship. Whether it's caring for our own pets or simply sharing stories and moments related to them, these shared experiences have created countless cherished memories. This bond has not only given me a sense of belonging and love but has continually reinforced the feeling of being cared for and supported. This familial connection and the shared experiences have played an integral role in shaping my values, perspectives, and approach to life.

Selected for American Embassy School's MESAC (Middle East South Asia Conference) 2022 and 2023 Wrestling team for international tournament. Actively involved in the school wrestling team since the 10th grade and was in the school Wrestling club for 3 semesters continuously since grade 10.
Volunteering at Hamari Pahchan Organization
Under their Drishti Project (Educating Children), I led a financial literacy drive for 50 underserved children. I created interactive video lessons to teach vital concepts like budgeting, saving and safe digital payments. Fundraised over $720, facilitating the opening of bank accounts of 18 children and contributing to their financial empowerment.

Actively participated in initiatives aimed at helping local dogs, through direct care, socialization efforts, and adoption programs. Conducted thorough research to understand the unique challenges faced by sheltered dogs, exploring various aspects of their needs, behaviors, and potential solutions for enhancing their well-being.
The Earth Saviours Foundation, Gurugram
Raised and contributed INR 1 Lakh to support the construction of toilets and bathing areas at the shelter home for a diverse community of 1000+ elderly residents located at Bandhwari Village, Haryana.

My proficiency in working with Lego sets is another aspect of my skillset that I would like to mention. This hobby not only demonstrates my creativity and attention to detail but also reflects my problem-solving abilities. It's an illustration of my passion for crafting intricate structures and finding innovative solutions to challenges.
Duke University's Python Programming Fundamentals
Learned how to utilize a Logical Seven Step framework to create algorithms and programs, create useful test cases and efficiently debug Python code. Through comprehensive lessons, mastered Python basics (conditionals, loops, mathematical operators, data types) and developed a Python Program from scratch to solve a given data science problem.
Capstone Project - Economics Education Drive on Financial Literacy
Upon learning about the literacy challenges faced by children from underserved communities, I didn't stop at just understanding the problem. I was compelled to dig deeper, resulting in my creating a specialized curriculum for them and even spearheading a fundraiser. Raised over INR 60,000 through a fundraising initiative for financial literacy. The funds were directed towards Hamari Pehchan, an NGO dedicated to educating underprivileged children in Delhi slums. Additionally, I contributed to the cause by creating educational videos on crucial financial literacy concepts such as budgeting, saving, and safe UPI payments. This effort aimed to empower and educate individuals supported by the NGO on essential financial skills for a better future.

In middle school, I was honored as the "Most Passionate Speaker" at a Model United Nations summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This award highlights my deep interest in global affairs, diplomacy, and public speaking. It underscores my dedication to international issues and my skill in conveying complex concepts. My involvement in Model United Nations is a key part of my extracurricular activities. I take great pride in being recognized for my passion in the MUN community. Taekwondo
Before grade 9, I devoted considerable time to Taekwondo, achieving a Red Belt. I competed in the USA, winning silver and bronze medals. These achievements highlight my dedication to physical fitness, discipline, and competitive excellence. The discipline and strength gained from Taekwondo and wrestling are invaluable to me. I am drawn to combat sports that test both my physical and mental prowess. Regular gym workouts enhance my fitness and agility, exemplified by my ability to climb a rope with bare hands. Conscious of my diet, I ensure proper nutrition even at school. My sports journey has instilled in me commitment, discipline, and a drive for continuous self-improvement.

I am pursuing Harvard’s Introduction to Programming with Python course. The course is an introduction to programming using a language called Python. I am learning how to read and write code as well as how to test and "debug" it.
